I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
